Welcome to History's Alive!  History's Alive brings you the story of one of America's darkest moments in history:  the Civil War.  Through readings, primary source documents and photographs, interactive games and activities, and engaging lessons, the Civil War and those who lived, died, and survived the war are brought to life.  Lessons and projects designed to engage students in reading, writing, and hands on activities allow students to discover the Civil War through the eyes of the individuals who were a part of the war.  Explore and discover the Civil War through the eyes and of President Lincoln, soldiers on both sides of the conflict, nurses, slaves, and children.  For "history never looks like history when you are living through it."  (John W. Gardner)
